When a Monsters health reaches Zero, it freezes. What do i have to do?

edit: everything freezes, even the fpsc classic characters (old, ww2 and scifi)

check to make sure that your scripts are present for the destroy routines. scriptbank\viral_outbreak or viral_outbreak - DAI.

Check the paths in the fpe files.

Which version are you running and which update patches are you using?

Does it act the same way after the machine is rebooted and tested again?

When the game freezes, do you have to use the task manager to kill it?

Are there any error messages by chance.

Im using 1.20

Yes, it does.

It sometimes Closes itself when it freezes, but i have to use tm often.

It seems like i havent got any "grendel_destroy".

But why are the other characters freezing too?

Give it a look and see if it will help. Has the name of your problem right in the second paragraph under the grendel.

Try fixing these ones first and see if the characters are still freezing when killed. Try them on a new map for testing. If they work there then replace the scripts called in your level and see if all the characters are working, including the rest.

Don't forget to clear the DBO and bin files between each test.

Ok, I will go thru the thread and make the changes to the characters in MP 52 and see if it freezes on me.

So you are talking all characters are doing this? Are the other characters using there default scripts?

I see you are using version 120. Would that be with the 120.17A patch only or additional ones after that update?

Have you tested it with debug on and see where in the state and script file it stops?
Check to see if it is calling the no throw script. there is a command that can be inserted into the fpe file to stop that if that is what is happening here. nothrowscript = 1

Are there sounds attached to this character that might not be where the path points to?

Has the scripts been modified in any way, so we are working with the same info. Email me your changed scripts and I will apply them here on my map and see how they act. Also if you have changed the fpe files for them Send them also please.
