Any idea why I have a 15 second delay on my Asus T100 after compilation and the game starts?

no.
but can u try compile and start the same soure at other pc?
problem with opengl?
problem with anti virus?
can u look at resource monitor what your computer do in this time?
do you load bigs png's at first.
maybe try print + sync first as "hello world",than
u know it is not part of your source code.

Thank you Markus,

Its not part of the source code or an issue with Norton.

I tried the task manager and it appears to be waiting on:
Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Host Process
WUDFHost.
I 'task ended' it and the issue went away until I rebooted.

The computer is brand new and AppGameKit was the first and only program to be installed and then direct X.

I have no idea what WUDFHost does but I am happy with killing the task.

Thanks again for your suggestion.

Sean

Hi

I have the same matter on my AssusT100. with AppGameKit, I have a very long delay too (15 seconds).
When I make a render in blender, it's very quick.
I have compared with my other PC, and with AGk it's very long with the T100, I don't know why.

Hehehehehe

That's funny Marcus.. But again... Thankyou for your suggestion to check the resource monitor.
I guess our drivers are the same, Win 8.1 CPU z3775. On board Intel HD. No idea what the chip number is yet maybe 4000. Date:7/02/2014 Version 10.18.10.3417

Blender man..

In the task manager; kill the following and all will be well until you have to reboot. I have no idea what it does but I'm happy as I was getting frustrated with the 15 seconds. (No delay on my other ASUS N53Series.)
Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Host Process
WUDFHost
