and a question comes to mind
how can i know my Ip without looking for it on windows
so i would know the IP of a hosted server ingame rather then looking up your ip..

i believe u can use here also a hostname JoinNetwork( szIP,
there are some provider u can get a free static domain name.
some routers have a build in to connect to this service and update
your non static or static ip from pc to a choosen domain name.
means you can host your server at home at any pc.
but upload speed should same fast as download, its not of course.
pc is often behind a router, the device ip is useless,
the public ip or domain name is more interesting.
the router (my connect to my web service provider also) will forwared
to a adjusted pc. because routers have a build in dns server
you can set or reserve a static ip in a ip range.

ok GetDeviceIp gives the ip within the router ...

Yeah... that's pretty useless. I always make an http call to
http://ipinfo.io/ip
That just returns a web page with only the IP if found. You can get more data from that site if you like.

can i get the ip from http://ipinfo.io/ip
directly inside my app ? using Tier 1 only .
so i wont have to open a browser to look for it..
