I am performing a file write but nothing gets written to the write folder.

Same code works in 10824

Has something changed in the file handling behaviour?

The folder is different now.
<driveUsers/<username>/AppData/Local/AGKApps/<appName>

Ultimately a more correct place to write to as the folder is hidden.
You can always check the path by running
GetWritePath()
