'Hey, what's with this ageism anyway. I can drink, drive, I have a job and a credit card, and can even legally have sex. That's great, isn't it?'

My point exactly...

'what is this G string theory and yes i don't know what it is.'

It has to do with the laws of gravitation and object attraction. And biology.

lol. That was good. Real good.

@ Mattman: so mattman it is. Do you want the charlie brown avatar or the scaled smiley?

@ ReD_eYe: It's almost ready. I have drawn 10 pages, and colored 3 of them. But as I'm really lazy, it'll probably be up next week.

@ ALL: What do you prefer:
A) I upload the pages as they get ready, or
B) I upload them all at once.

i think, as they get ready would be cool, is it one big story or just small bursts of story on each page. if its one long one then i might end of getting bored if i have to wait to see the next bit.

All at once has more impact . Of course you could serialize it with a few cliffhangers...

@ All three of the latest responses: I thought so...
Due to my instability, I think it'd be better to upload it all at once. Either that, or it'd get boring real quick.

@Chris Knott (the origional one): The comic's just started. I haven't introduced all the characters yet, and I won't be able to do so in one episode! Besides, there are alot of people on this forum, so I can't add every one. I'm putting the people who post alot for I have an idea of what they are like. Mabe not the right idea, but it's better than nothing.

As far as I know all countries have limits on the legal age to have sex... it's very low in some; Germany has it set at 14 and in one other it's 12, but I think it's generally 16; in the US and the UK it is at least. That's also traditionaly tied in with the marriage age, as per the (now pretty much dead) Christian tradition of sex after marriage.

U.S. varies state to state, heeh heh, down in southern states (south east) there are some states that are ok with 14, where other states are 18 - 17 etc.

Not sure about the US, but here you're not allowed to have sex with someone who has an age difference greater then 2 years then you unless you're both over 18.

17. First Started Programming very young, when i was 7-8, on an Atari ST. Never owned an Amiga, if i had, i get the feeling i would be a good respected coder, like a lot of the other people on here...i can't help but notice that everyone on these posts who's an accomplished and respected coder has mentioned their love of the Amiga. Anyway, after the Amiga, got my hands on my first PC a while after, when i was about 13, where i learned about HTML and lots about Hardware. Wasn't till i started Hypertalk on the Macs that i considered coding again...and when i got into VB, i guess it reinforced my love of creating stuff. Damnit...feel so old...But just thinking about all the old fogeys on this board has made me feel young again! Mwuahaha!

Okay, just did a bit of research. Age of consent varies from 15 to 18 state to state, but it's generally 16. Some states have additional laws. Frankly I don't think many of them even bother enforcing those laws any more.

DivW,
It's cool man - the Atari ST was just as loved as the Amiga by coders, in the early days (pre-AMOS), the ST was largely considered the nicest machine to program on. I never owned an Amiga personally, it was Atari or nothing, which is strange because I loved the C64 - but the Atari stole my heart with it's cute little desktop and busy bee mouse pointer , the Amiga OS looked so much more breakable for some reason. Your lucky to have started on the ST, I started on the Spectrum, damn that was a sucky interpretation of Basic if ever I saw one!, the C64 was a breath of fresh air after that!.

Rich is a big Atari fan too, you should all check out atari.st - the home of Little Green Desktop, although I'm sure you've all been told already .

My First Computer (Even worse than yours )

http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=1&c=102

I'm 22, been programming since I was 7, started on my dad's old computer, hence the rubbish thing linked to above. However, Commodore basic was a blessing. I upgraded to a C64, and then got a second hand spectrum as well, My god Sinclair basic was awful :S

To clear up a few matters from my perspective anyways in school we were taught that in the UK there was no age limit for boys having sex, but girls had to be sixteen. Back then the legal age for 'A' sex was 18 though, maybe to protect very young boys from semi legal sexual preditors. HOWEVER I read recently that 'A' sex is legal at 16 also, presumably because this could have counted as discrimination against Homosexuals. I am not sure, but I would presume that means that the age of sexual consent is now 16 for girls AND boys in the UK. Not that that seems to stop many people as the average UK age for loosing your virginity according to a recent study is 15 for boys, 14 for girls

Anyhew back to computers...

I moved straight from a C64 to Amiga and my first proper PC was a (80)486 DX2 66Mhz with 4Mb RAM and a 2speed CD-ROM - costing nearly £2000!

I've been with Dark basic since the first commercial release, but didn't patch or upgrade it till DarkMatter. After that I didn't even attempt a project in Pro until patch 3, cause it wouldn't even compile a "print" statement on my pc lol happy days

Quikly Studio Pro. Soon. Honest.

Hmmm. Dunno about that. What about that 30ish year old women who slept with a load of scouts during a year. They were about 13-16 and she went straight to jail if I remember rightly. They called her "rocking horse <insert name here>" cos she used a rocking horse or some such s**t. She was pretty fit. Wish I was in the scouts

Ah... Somerset... arrrr... hmmmm....

Heh, after all, you don't see many five year olds hanging out with their 40 year old bitch eh? Eh?

In a really horrible opposite, did anyone see that program a few years ago where this 30 year old bloke was going out with a 85 year old? Argggle.... He used to take her to the dog track and snog away in front of everyone... yuck... esp. when she took her teeth out Anyhows, he dumped her for a younger model; a 79 year old, with her own pad in an OAP home... Nice...

lmao... i like the weight description for the PET 2xx lol "Heavy!"
it was something around a good 50lbs though, seriously not jokin' either.

my dad's original 186 was worse, cause you had the 8" Monochrome (Snazzy Green lol) CGA Monitor ... the box was HUGE, i mean you think current full tower cases are big hahaa; you've not a clue on how big IBM's used to be hahaa

god i still remember when 10mb hard disks were the size of 2 PSones and just as heavy as nowadays PCs; oh the fun you had setting up 2 of them in one machine for a whooping 20mb!!
God i think we even had one of the early 1mb versions, i mean you might laugh but that was big for '83-84 hehee ^_^

god i remember well when HDDs finally broke the 3 digit barrier hahaa, was like "what 100mb on ONE HDD!!" ... just think in 2 decades we've gone from 1,024KB HDDs running at 300rpm with a Single Data Head to 480GB running at 8300rpm with 8 Dual Data Heads.

i mean technology surely can't growing as exponencially as it has, it's gotta peak sometime soon surely?

I started with an Atari 800 that I got in 1982 when I was 11 yo. After nearly 2 months, smoke began to rise from the power supply and the little computer died peacefully. Meanwhile Atari released the XL versions and since the shop hadn't any 800s in stock anymore I got an 800XL instead.
So the first computer I actually used was an 800XL. Then came the Atari ST (still in use), before I entered the DOS world with an 80286.

So we have a handful of people aged about 13 - 17

Then we have a handful of people aged 30 - 34ish

13 - 17: Too young to get in to pubs and clubs.
18 - 29: Pubbing and Clubbing
30 -> : Married and/or parents and/or past it.

Me? 31, married, 2.8 children (next one due Feb 2004). Many nights spent with a keyboard and a Kronenbourg (or Stella). Not past it, just enjoying a different lifestyle. Like Pubbing and Clubbing is different at 16 (...er, sorry Constable, 18).
