Could the powers that be think about splitting the AppGameKit forum into separate V1 and V2 boards? The disparity between the versions is already vast, and only going to increase.

We are seeing lots of code examples followed up with "Sorry, this is for Vx". It is clear that not all V1 code works on V2 without some tweaking.

I'd liken it to the DB Classic and DB-Pro boards. Does anyone else think this would be a good idea?

Most v1 users will move over to v2 eventually, so the v1 numbers are going to dwindle in time.
With that said, not sure if it would be worth making a new board, if one is going to go underused.
Might as well just stick with this one, and let the v1 users make their distinction when posting, since that doesn't apply to new/current users.
That may give them more incentive to make the move to v2 as well.

I agree with CE, it would become unused too quickly to make it worthwhile. I would suggest that users could add to their signature if they are a V1 / V2 user maybe (as I've just done)?

Also could be a good idea for question threads to prefix the title with [V1] / [V2] (and possibly [T1] / [T2]). Trouble is always getting people to actually do it.

My suggestion is to leave the whole forum as is now, and just open a new section for V1 users as these will be the minority

I don't think splitting this board is a good idea. I agree that the other board would be unused. Besides, it's better to have all on one board. Makes it easier to help people.
