During submission of Pushdown to the Apple appstore, this question came up:

The only reference I can find on the forums is to this AppGameKit 1 thread from last year: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=210337&b=41

I don't think we have access to the xcode project in AGK2 do we?

I'm not using adverts so am concerned that it'll be grounds for denial. Is there a way to turn the feature off in AGK2?

Yes you have the access to the Xcode project, anyway don't mind of IDFA, i never used it.
If you want to trace your users for advertising you need to use it.

Just answer no to the question and all is ok.

Ah great, thanks xGEKKOX. Where is the project located? I've trawled through the IDE packages in the IDE a lot, but never seen the same files I saw when working with xcode directly.

AGK by itself does not make use of the advertising identifier, but it includes the AdMob SDK which makes it look like it does. The only time it is accessed is if you call the advert commands (assuming I can trust the AdMob SDK not to take matters into its own hands).

The XCode projects are in the "Tier 2/apps" folder, you can copy the Tier 2 files to a more convenient location with the Install Additional Files dialog. If you remove the GoogleAds library and the AdSupport framework make sure you uncomment the lines at the bottom of Core.m to create some dummy classes for AppGameKit to link to.

Thanks for the reply Paul, Apple just approved Pushdown for release so it looks like a non-issue. Now to get ready for it going live on the 26th...
