I have an animated object that moves and rotates, but when i play it in DB the object moves but does not rotate! If i load the object in 3dmax the animation is fine. So anyone know why it doesnt rotate in DB?

is the object a .x or a .3ds?

if I = 1 then I = 1 else I = 0

i tried converting it to an x model but it still has the same problem. To be honest i really dont see the difference between the two becuase converting to an x model has never solved a problem ive had. DB converts it to an x model anyway. So the only reason to use an x model is to speed up loading, as far as im aware of.

Yea, DB converts it automaically, but it isn't the best converter out, so it can create problems...

I'm not too sure how to solve your problem sorry...

how many keyframes are in the animations loop sequence?

is there at least 3 and did you rotate it by hand or let max do the rotation for you with some other command?

have a start rotation keyframe and a few around the circular motion so it knows which way to rotate in the animation from the keyframes

perhaps, im no max guru but it smells about right
