(I've asked this in an old topic already...)

How do I use the compiled version of Directx .X exporter?

'Cuz my 10 framed object became 1760 frames when exported.

You're lookin' at the ZOE2 freak, y'know.

if you really have trouble, dont use that one. use the panda exporter....
the direct x exporter gave me the same problem with like 1000 something frames...so i use panda instead.

and panda exporter WORKS!!! with animation and everything, so use that one instead if you still cant figure it out

Yeah, I totally agree. The Pandasoft Exporter is much better.

i got the same problem exporting from max6 and cs4.2, with pandasoft exporter. luckily i have a copy of max4.2 on hand, pandasoft exports skin nicely from max4.2. i havent been able to get a model to export properly from max6 at all. in fact im not sure its possible to export a correctly animated model from max6 as .x at all.

keep an eye out on the pandasoft site for updates to the max6 exporter, its still a beta, so i guess problems are to be expected...

ok, not sure if you guys figure it out yet. but if you havent try this:
works PERFECTLY for me anyways

for DX file Type i chose text and turned off Left Handed Axis
as for the rest of the option, experiment with them, you can leave them if you want, doesnt affect the model (as far as i can tell)

this doesnt screw up your model, but it will be rotated, so rotated it before you export it.

reply if you have any more problem. Trust me, it was hell trying to export it from 3ds max haha

also if you have DBP 5.2 there are MANY times that it messes up models that were not made/exported with GameSpace, that may also be a cause...

they say they are working on fixing it before they let out the next upgrade... but not for sure about the current status on it... try re-patching to 5.1 and see if the models work correctly

you DO NOT need to un-install everything to downgrade to 5.1 from 5.2... before i get flamed for this... try it... i have popped from 5.1 to 5.2 and back SEVERAL times lately... trying to get things to work... it CAN be done!
