that was pretty cool. I was playing on stratagy mode and it wasnt really challenging until level 20 something. And even then i just had to mash spacebar as fast as i could Graphics were real nice though.

This is quite good. Graphics are good. Overall presentation is good. Speed is good. Plenty of different powerups to keep the interest up.

Suggest you remove the swear word out of the readme file as there are children who could download.

Moooooooooooooo.

Boo!

Hi BarZoule,

Web1000 (your host) is notorious for hosting porn sites, so it gets blocked by a lot of net filters, including my one at college (where I am now)

hehe, Abducting Cows? man, thats crazy. What's even crazier is, it's EXACTLY the same thing I was working on. Then I changed my mind and made a 3rd person shooter. Then I gave up cause my vacations will be spent on the beach, so there's no way to finish by the deadline. I'm downloading your demo now.

I just saw the demo. Very nice graphics. Though, the pick-ups last too little time, and the cows after being dropped should run around in a frenzy making them harder to catch. Still, its a good job.

Hey Barz!

Long time no see.

I like the demo style and function. I would say it's not challenging enough until about level 20 (make level 20 about level 5 and that should fix it).

Also, I didn't like having to wail on my spacebar to bring the cow up. Why not just let us hold the spacebar down instead of having to wail on it repeatedly?

Isn't that the whole point of it?
That's why it's hard.

Very repetative, but fun nonetheless.

The simple ideas always work best.

hey thanks all for the nice comments

My goal was to make something small, repetitive and addictive.
And as said Chris Knott, the point of the game is to break your spacebar apart

the readme was just the one for the previous private version, I've updated it some days ago.

I'll try to recalibrate the power ups and the difficulty.

cya,

Black has connotations of darkness/evil, nothing to do with race.

@BarZoule

You fiend! - My poor spacebar can't take any more!

Then why did you think, he meant the race when referring to political correctness .

when I ran the program, the screen went black, the speakers made one popping noise, and the program ended. Nothing else happened.

If you aim at nothing you'll hit it every time. 806mhz AMD Athlon Processor. 384MB memory.

Re The Game:
This looked like it might be really good but on my system the screen refreshed about once a second. I did manage to crawl my way into the game itself but the same happened there too.

AMD 2Ghz, 512mb, Ge Force 2MX.

Re The Idiots:
If you see or hear racism it is most likely because you are more sensitive about race than the person whome you have seen be racist. Is this ignorance on the part of the accused? Or is it you being more racist than you realise by forcing race issues when there are none?

i was just merly commenting on the readme file, i realise the readme has nothing to do with race, but some people may see it differently.

Wow!

What I really liked were the simple graphics, like the trees and the flowers. It's actually really refreshing to see more simpler graphics. They really look pro!

I also really liked the loading screen with the moving meter. Even though that screen only used 2 colors, it was totally effective. Man, simple is alomst better sometimes!!!

The in-game tutorial was produced nicely! What a good idea!

And this game has enough comedy in it to take it to the top! With the lighting and the texturing, I think it is a very good example of what DarkBasic Classic can do!

The graphics were so well done! I especially liked the menu image! This game has a lot of character. If this is released as a freeware game, I would expect tons of downloads!!!

Congratulations on your winning entry.

I have a question, however. In Newsletter #13, it says that Cow Abductor was made in Dark Basic Professional. Wasn't it done in DarkBasic Classic?
