I'm getting Darkbasic Pro for my bday and since I havee some extra cash I would like to know what program I should get with my extra cash? Should I get a Modeller? Or Darkmatter 1/2? Or should I get something like Cartography shop or some other world creater? Or something else?

Ok then...let me get you a list of what programs you could use(please choose depending on your extra cash range):

3D Modeling:
Gamespace ($300)
3D Canvas Pro ($50)
Milkshape ($20)
Wings3D (Free)

Texturing:
Tattoo ($42)

2D Art:
Adobe Photoshop ($700 I think)
ArcSoft PhotoImpression ($100 I think)
Gimp (Free)

Music:
Finale 2003 ($300 I think)
ModPlugTracker(Free)

World Building:
Cartography Shop ($65)
Maplet ($25)

3D Models:
DarkMatter 1($40)
DarkMatter 2($40)

Thats all I can suggest. Please note that its not always the tool, but how you use it, the cheapest may be the best when used well. Also, if you dont like the tool, put up with it until you can code it with DBPro (or some other language). Also, if you dont want to spend the cash on Dark Matter, you could always model the models on your own. The DM models might be quite amazing, but that doesnt mean a good amount of work couldnt create equal results.

Depending on how experienced you are when it comes down to modelling, you might want to look at some of the free modellers out there (instead of spending cash right away). Examples would be Wings3d, JTEdit and Deled, to name but a few.

Use the free 3D modeller DeleD to get skilled in 3d editing! Visit http://www.gamefortress.com/delgine for more info.

Wow I didn't realize there was that much stuff. Well, since I was going to only buy DB Pro I have around $100. (I'm only 13) I'm gonna start doing research on all those programs right now. Thankyou!
