does any one have a good Idea on how to make shadows?

I have heard you could make many small objects(plains) and make them mirror the object and they get ground height on the matrix.. but how can I do that?

the way I usually use is to make a copy of the object and color it black and make it flat an position it on the matrix, but this does not work on hills!!!

I Only need 90$ to get dbPro + cs3 + 3dcpro + dm + tm !!!!!

Check out the code snippets forum, I posted a DBPro demo for shadows over there. It uses 5 points to calculate the shadow, so it sorta blankets the terrain a lot better than tired old rotated plains.

dbp inbuilt command is set shadow mappping on.

I would keep it for the main character only and cheat with the rest as its cpu intensive.

also vanb has always been a good fellow so check out his snippet.

Ahh, sorry - I was sure I'd posted it here - it is over at LLRGT. Damn Rich we really need an attachments feature here!
