I just bought the DPCEP. Whenever I installed and patched it, I noticed that my game testing screen, when I loaded a game and compiled the code and ran it, blinked between black and white. I uninstalled DBC and reinstaled it. When I reinstalled it, it worked fine. The EPpatch is what is messing it up. Does anyone have any help to give me? Is this patch really necessary? Please! I really want to learn DarkBASIC!

Put CLS 0 at the start of your program.

With our species on the edge of extermination,
with no prospect but a horrible death,
we actually played games.

I'm having a problem where after I install the DBEnhancement pack, my programs slow down consdirably, and sometimes even crash.
The reason I bought the Enhancement Pack was so that I would be able to use the dll from NuclearGlory. I could run their example code perfectly with the EnhancementPack that you get as a trial version from the 1.13 upgrade. However, now that I have installed the full version, whenever I run the example code, the program starts, then puts a little and then crashes.
Does anyone know anything about this? I really think the Enhancement Pack boasts some really amazing capabilities and it would be awesome if I could get it working, so any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks,
Brandon

Firstly, make sure you haven't changed something in the code to make it crash...

Secondly, if it's not the code, try un-installing, then re-installing both DBC and the enhancement...

Other than that, mabey it's an issue with your driver of your vid cards, or even your directX version..

Hope I Helped...

Hey! thanks for responding.

Unfortunately I don't think that that's where the problem lies. I hadn't changed the code at all, and I tried uninstalling and re-installing about 5 or 6 different times now, each trying it a different way.

I have the most recent version of direct X, but I know nothing about drivers or video cards. Could you give me advise on where to find the lastest drivers?
If the problem is with the video card though, I don't understand why it worked with the trial version and not with the full version, that's what annoys me.

But anyway, thank you very much,
Brandon
