I was serfing the net and found some awsome 3d models in 3DS format. I downloaded them and tried to open the file and windows told me it could not open the file becaus it doesnt know what program made it. How do I get the file? I really like those models and even though I have anim8or I am not good at 3D modeling.

PS: by the way in anim8or how do I import textures on to objects?

Have you tried to open it in your modelling program? Or in the browse program that you get for free with darkbasic in your /tools map? Check that first.

.3ds is 3d studio max format. Although you probably can import with other programs, doubleclicking will only work if you have 3ds max installed (which costs several thousand dollars)
