Go here to check a little sonic game I'm working on:
http://members.tripod.com/~HarrisonM/darksonic.htm
I don't know if I will continue or not, it depends on how bored I'll be.

Pretty good. Keep going.

If I were you I'd go with 2D, put be able to move up and down the screen as well, if you get what I mean.

Have it side scrolling but be able to move in three dimensions.

I really have to say I like that..has a very sonic'y feel to it.. reminds me a bit of toejam and earl to..

Keep going I would even if you only finish one level or make a ring chase or something.

Ok so its not a mouse.

i have now played the game a bit more and i have a question, how (if you can) do you change to the characters shadow and supersonic, i noticed their models and textures were there but i could not find a way to change to them in the game, also, is there a way to make the character roll?

Sorry its taken so long for me to respond, but I have limited access to the internet. The models where made and animated with 3D Studio. You can only change characters in the 2D version by pressing the numbers keys 1-4 I made Super Shadow super fast just for testing purposes so I could get across the level quickly. There are only 4 different animations so far: standing, running, super run, and jump.
As for my web page I can only upload when I go to my sisters house, I tried to update my whole website but ran out off time before she went on her holiday in Perth. I atleast got the game uploaded and posted the message in the Darkbasic forums.
I'm thinking about continuing the game I'm starting to get bored, but even if I do put more into it I won't be able to update the site till my sister comes back in mid Feburary.

Wow that thing is cool. And by the looks of it DBC was used to do this. If this has been made in DBC then it would be amazing in DBPro!

Your page has a lot of errors on it, and cos I have vc++ installed it keeps bringing up a popup asking me to debug whenever I hover anything. I've managed finally to click the link, but do you think you could fix it? Otherwise does anyone knoe how to turn the vc++ debug option off? Thanks.

EDIT: Nice start, I think you should continue this.

Do you bite your thumb at me sir?

I've only added springs and spikes to the game so far. Sorry but I'm having a few problems right now. I won't be able to update for a while.

Is your username Pricey or Piracy? Just joking, you can use the models if you like, just don't forget to give credit where credit is due. I bet you will do more with them then I will anyway. Sorry guys I haven't done any work on it for awhile, I'm just a laaaaaaazy person.

I think it looks great so far. Since you've put so much effort into this project so far, I would go a step further and design your own charcters. It would have a look and feel, all your own.

It'll save you the grief of copyright trolls (not unlike myself).
