Is there any way to prevent pixelating in darkbasic classic?
I have tried many things but all have not worked.

try low resolution

set display mode 320,240,16 on line 1

if I = 1 then I = 1 else I = 0

Wouldn't that only make the pixelating worse?

It would.

When you say pixelating, do you mean in textures, or 3D Objectes, or Sprites? because there are a couple of ways to fix certain things.

Hope I Helped...

Oh yeah I guess I should have been more specific.
I mean 3D objects.

you can try changing the mipmapping settings, or set filtering on/off using the "set object" command

That's a good point.

But, in DBC, there isn't really any antialaising, so you will probably always get that "pixeling" effect around the edges. THe best solution is to increase the resolution of the game screen, using Set Display Mode width, height, depth.

But, you may lose some FPS doing that, unfortunatly.

Also, you could make some really smooth models and import them into DBC on load, but again, you will lose some FPS. Sorry.

Hope I Helped...

Or someone can make a DLL that creates Anti-Aliasing...like a DIV 2 (Div Games Studio 2, MS-DOS Programming language) DLL (http://www.divgamesstudio.com). I can put here the source code (in C) if someone want it for doing a Anti-Aliasing DLL...I don't think it will decrease the FPS...well, a little

I'm a newbie
