Dark basic classic I have made a game using the 'monster hunt tutorial (tutorials/source/ TUT 25), but the gun is pretty rigid as it is locked to the camera. I have tried to copy the gun strafing code from the 'iced' demo in DBC but with no luck. Can anyone help. Would be most grateful if the monster hunt code could be posted with the gun part from iced. Is this too difficult?
Thanks in advance

Yes I have the iced demo, it came with Dark basic classic, trouble is I was having problems fitting the gun strafe part into the code from the monster hunt demo. I'm kind of pasting snippets together with teh hope of getting all the best parts from different games into one decent game, trouble is it aint working. I'm ok with model making but not so hot at coding Any help would be appreciated.

It's not too difficult, but you have to know how to code fairly well if you wanna take lots of different snippets and put them together.

It's not an easy task, as you have to compensate for people who use functions, others that dont, others that rarely use While...EndWhile, and other's that rarely use If...Else...Endif etc, etc.

If you post some code, then I'm sure, one of us can help.

Jess.

Thanks Jess, thats the drift I was trying to put across, I'm now treating these projects like paintings, making several at once. I have attatched the code which is basically the tutorial 'monster hunt' code with more models attatched. What I am after is a strafe effect for the gun/s like in the iced demo but without separate files outside the directory ( I think like in 'Inca'). Although in this snippet I have animated the guns (x models) so that when the camera moves or the gun shoots, it will bob up and down for a few seconds though this is pretty clumsy. If the code attatched is a bit messy it is probably better to simply refer to the monster hunt tutorial code as that is the basis of my project anyway. Thanks again
