http://darwin.dbspot.com/RTS.rar
this is the VERY early stages of it. i just want to see what you guys are getting for FPS, its just a curiosity thing. press space to put out more objects. left click selects, you CAN click and drag...the visual is a bit buggy, you'll notice if you click around a lot it's jumpy, but other than that, it should work perfectly. i want to know how many objects you can get on without the FPS going too much under 60. the number on the top left is FPS, right under that is the number of objects.

edit: heh, for Mozilla users (At least me ): rightclick, save target as, save as RTS.rar NOT as a text. sorry about that
post specs too

objects: about 1400 before fps starting getting inconsistant

1.6 athlon
512mb ram
64mb gf3 ti200

But the fps will depend a lot more on how many objects are actually seen.

Pardon me, but I'm a beginner

Are we talking frames per second or first person shooter?

How do you tell you Frames Per Second?

He is talking Frames Per Second anytime someone asks you how fast there program runs on your machine (mainly games) they want to know frames per second.

37-74
at the number of objects at 1122 it dropped way below 37

1.7ghz celeron P4
768mb's ram
Geforce 4 mx440 SE dual VGA 64MB

I noticed that the mouse is kinda jumpy...

The mouse is seriously got problems. I don't know what you're doing in your code, but moving the mouse is insane.

I hadn't selected anything, and I moved the mouse to the side of the screen and let go of it to see the landscape ( which turned out to be blank ) and after a bit, the mouse just moves of it's own acord and jumps back into the screen.

My FPS droped at around 1000 from about 50 to 30-32

Jess.

wtf? the mouse runs way smooth on mine, Jimmy's (i believe) and Jerico2day's, and they each in turn said that it was amaizing. hmm... maybe it has to do with the FINAL and just running it in DB? thats way messed.
