`run this a couple of times and see that some cubes occupy the same space,
`then rem the three lines that say
` make object cube 30,10
` make mesh from object 1,30
` delete object 30
` and change the line
` make object objnum,1,0
` to this.. make object cube objnum,9
`why doesnt it work properly when using meshes?

I can see how the results differ when using the Mesh, or when using the Create Object Cube method, but, we cannot tell you how to fix it unless you tell us what you are trying to acheive...

Are you trying to get all the red boxes inside the ghosted ones? or are you trying to get them all inbetween the ghosted ones?
Or, are you trying to just randomly position them?

Hope I Helped...
Jess.

I just had another look over your code, and I can't seem to find anything that would make it do that...

The only thing I can suggest is that when you're making the objects from a mesh, their collision boxes get messed up, and that is why your code fro checking collisions doesn't work.

Sorry I couldn't help any more.
Jess.

IIRC there was some mention that models made from meshes didn`t have collision or something like that, some problem with the way they are created, but I thought that was fixed, check the bugs forum.

I've never heard of that ( but, that doesn't mean it's not true ), but, the Bugs forum is for DBPro only, not DBC...

Try doing a search on the forums, and see what you can find... If you can't determine what it is, make a simple example showing the problem, and email the code to Mike or Lee and ask them what's up...

Hope I Helped...
Jess.
