Greetings!!!

Well...I've added A LOT of things to my game so I managed to make some cool screenshots to show you all .

The game features (right now):

- Some realistic physics (done in a simple way)
- "Real" missiles, that means that when you fire the missile go, you can't fire anymore that missile (like in some old games)
- A control tower (made by me)
- Airbase (textured in the matrix)
- Skysphere (have some problems with it again...)
- Light effects (when you fire the missile, for example)

- A **** 3D Cockpit **** !!!!! (thanks to Shiny!! )
- Free cockpit view (you can look anywhere inside the cockpit, like if you were there)
- Smoke & Explosion effects (thanks to Bolt. I did the code in my way but it does the same. Also, he gived me the inspiration and how to do it )
- More than 4 camera views

The game right now have all that . The F-16 model is just a test model, I'll have one better in some time , and the AMRAAM Missile was done by me .

Now for the cool screenies!! (at 800x600).

I hope you like them!!! (personally I like the first screenshot )

Looks very cool!
Love the plane and the missile - smoke effect looks good too!
What are the physics like? Can you take off from the runway and land again?
I think maybe more work needs to be done on the airbase, and the landscape too. But this looks like it could become a very nice game - stick with it

I'm still working on it...I posted one time in the DarkBASIC Discussion forum to see if someone help me aligning the plane to the matrix (or to the ground, it's the same *lol*), and even though their efforts, the problem wasn't resolved.....gonna have to post the code

edit:

well...yeah.....I have to find some suitable textures or photos for the matrix to look real..and that's a test airbase........gonna make one myself...

I'm glad you all liked it!!!!!

Look at that first screen, there is no pilot! lol
I am sure you will fix that but it is kinda funny. your game looks really cool, I wish I could make games that good, but I suck.

Looks cool. The smoke looks great. The model also looks great (did you make it too?) but it looks too high poly for use in a game. Yeah I know it's temporary, but it's a shame that you're going to sacrifice so much visual quality from earlier screenshots just to keep the FPS playable during the released version.

Hey, did you know that this site actually exists?

@r_kabouter

?, how is that really high poly for a game? i would think its 2000-3000 polys and since its a flight combat sim, the rest of the models would have lod but having one 2000-3000 poly model would no way stratin the fps,

the model remiends me of the one off desert combat

@r_kabouter: nahhhhh comparing my PC to the high quality PC's all of you have.....I'm sure a 1000-2500 polys f-16 will not be problem for those PC's (mine is a Pentium II 300 Mhz *lol*) . Also....nope, I didn't the model (I wish I could have done that ).

@dark coder: nope, the model is 1000-2500 polys . Desert combat? yeah something like that

I'm glad you all liked it ^_^

If that's your title screen I suggest that you change it to a screen from a combat scene.

That jet model looks pretty nice but there seams to be some overlapping geometry around the exaust.

@RPG_Freak: mmmmm yeah...I was thinking in that...but first I need to see how I try that the skysphere doesn't overlap with the matrix..it looks horrible when you're too high ...I'll take your suggestion..I'm gonna work on some "action replay" to use for the title screen...thanks

@Froggermon: I know...it looks a bit strange ...anyway... but, as I said, it's a test model...when I have a cool high poly model my game is gonna rock

I've played f-22 raptor before, and I can only suggest that you make the airbase and runway much bigger. Maybe 2-3 times bigger. From the title, can I assume you've implemented some basic take-off/landing physics?

@cyberflame: ok! i'm gonna test that now, I hope it works...

@r_kabouter: hehe, thanks for the info! i'm gonna make that airbase more bigger....and...nope..I've posted 2 times now even giving all of the code and no one has been able to help me...
