You need to specify what help you need. What have you got so far, what have you tried that isn't working as expected, etc...

Well, i've gotton a collection of models together. I want to know how to position then in 3d so that they stay still and how to make them flash when you shoot them.

Hmmm, it sounds like your new to programming in DarkBASIC...

You're best off not trying to make an FPS striaght off. Insead, learn the basics... Have a cube move around the screen when you press the arrow keys.

Then, move onto the more visual side of programming, ie, the "flash" effect you wanted, and coloring objects and the like.

Hope I Helped...
Jess.

Follow the help files, rip them apart and examine all the code, it's an invaluable resource for you... Trust me, as that is how I learnt DB and I still use the help files.

Jess.

Hi Jess
Allways trying to help someone you are
Good on you.

I might be able to add a bit more as I know Jess is very busy but today I can spare a few minutes.
**************************************
Do as Jess has suggested. Dont be shy about starting in the beginning.

Look for TUTORIAL 18.dba in the tutorials section of the DB program files.
Here it will show you what you are looking for and more.

Study this, then change the object to some other weapon and change its position slightly.

Then add a key command which will hide object XX and show object xx

Keep adding or changing untill it turns into the game which you are hoping to make.
This is the best way to learn by having working examples to start with.

Keep in mind also that you can come to these forums and ask a question. You might not allways get the most perfect answer you had hoped for but someone will either help you or offer good suggestions.
Keep trying You will be ok.
