hi,

i was wondering how do i make the textures on a terain look smooth? ive seen games where the texture goes from grass to gravel/sand but some of them look blended. i mean, at the moment, i can tile a matrix where the two textures meet, there s a very visible line.
basically, how do i get a smooth transition from one tile to the next.

Nature gave man 2 ends. One to think with, the other to sit on. Mans' sucess depends on which end he uses most!!

You could try VanTRANS, it uses 2 128x128 tileable textures and blends them together in any way you like, I use it all the time.

You can get it from my website, along with VanSEAM which is for making seamless textures, goes nicely with VanTRANS.

Nice apps, Van, I will definitely use them.

Van, is it possible to think of another way to move around your site than that link box? It's kind of resource intensive.

I use a simple 3 frame design. A banner frame at the top, so my logo will always be displayed, a link frame to the left(note: there are some drop down menu apps that run pretty fast if you search around some), and a main frame with your site in it.
EDIT: my store links in my profile my wesite (not been updated in forever is at http://www.neoeden.web1000.com
EDIT 2: I like your site very much I just like a site that user friendly to every one. (fell free to use the source for my frames on my site)

There are straight HTML links to the pages under the logo, but that website is sorta defunct, it only has 20mb storage, about enough for 1 DBPro game!.

I'm planning on making a decent website this year. I have 2 games and an app - and another game and another app in development that'll need webspace, plus a shedload of snippets. I will have to do some research into site design though, it's not something that I've spent any time on. I sorta gave up a bit when I realised that my ISP does'nt even have the standard Frontpage plugins and I spent a week trying to get a visitor counter working!.
