I played around with images and made a small demo to test the speed. (it is not optimized yet, so the final thing should a bit faster...)

Mainly it creates a 800x600 image, rasterize it and paste it to the screen. I used it to make transistion between screens (here for text, to keep the filesize of the demo low).

The demo is about 500k size. It can be downloaded here:

What do you think?
I´m interested in the speed of the demo, the last screens show you 2 times. the fastest and the slowest. It would be nice if you can post the time it takes on your PC (and some configuration like Processor, speed, Grafics).

Thx for trying it.

Its interesting that both higher values are 500 on different speed machines. Will try to cut that value down a bit.
