Which ones have you seen on this site, and why are they not suitable?

There are threads relating to Magic World and a couple of other free editors that export DB code, or have a DB include file to import the world.

There's 3d Map Editor....that's about all I can think of. A lot of the other ones I've heard of are for specific games.

not for free you could do it in a 3d model making program, just use primitives etc, you can get them for free
or you could model the indoor parts of the level, them position those models on a matrix using a program like magic world.

In the beginning, the universe was created...
This made alot of people very angry and it has been widely regarded as a bad idea...
