yup... i think you can create a sphere than use the save bitmap command... first define the directory using the CD command then make the sphere then save bitmap "3Dsphere.bmp" (or something along those lines)

Are you asking if you can save an object as a .bmp file? If so thats impossible.
If you asking to take a picture of the object then yes it is possible.

look it up in the BD help files (or are you not at yer DB comp like me)

I think the syntax is the following:
Save Bitmap filename$ - saves the screen to a bitmap (print screen)
CD directory$ - changes the directory (assuming the directory exists)

PC: Pentium II, 333Mhz, 128 Mb SDRAM, 20 & 4Gb hard drives, 8Mb Videocard, DBC 1.13

ok i have got this:

At this point it saves the file and it then shows in the directory but it will not open. WindowsXP viewer says 'preview not avaliable' and it gives an error when trying to open it with MS paint and paintshop pro7. I have also tried saving it as a .jpg and a .gif and they have failed.

how do i fix this?

r u trying to save a 3D image into a bmp file? use the friken SAVE BITMAP command! the syntax is SAVE BITMAP filename. it takes whatever is on the screen and converts it into a bitmap file.
