Is it a good idea to make my gamemenu in another db program, instead of having it in my main program code? And how do you keep the variableinformation when something it needs to be used in the other program?

Why not just make it into a function and then call it from your main program (hint: Look at the #include command)

DarkRider nailed it, functions and/or #includes. You could use shell execute, but that takes a whole bunch of time.

and if u *REALLY* want to execute another app,
bear in mind that on old crap machines (ie, my other one)... well that PC of mine comes up with an error if u try and run more than 1 DB app.
And another one of mine won't run DB at all!

Also make sure that you have only one of your programs in full screen mode...the other MUST be in a window mode or Darkbasic will give an error.

[ o LReM8888]

ur Pc isn't crap if it displays an error - I have a 2.4ghz PC with an Nvidea Geforce 5600FX card, and it still displays that error. Direct X 7 ( and DBC) cannot cope with too many 'orders' for programs
