well i tried out a few methods after i realised that DB classic wont allow me to rotate sprites. so i tried back to the tried and true method of texturing plains, the only problem with plains are the fact that they are squares, you cannot assign any transparency so if (as i want) i wanted a nice square with circle sides then it just comes out as the image with pointed edges which looks absolutely terrible. i was wondering if anyone could lend a solution to the proble. in case i didnt mention this is for a HUD for a FPS.

thanx AJ

You CAN assign transparency to plains! Use the set object command.

Then all black areas of your plain will be transparent That's the method I've been using.

To make life even easier you can make transparent sections of your images and save them as .png, but if you're just using MS Paint stick with hyrichter's technique and make sure the transparent parts are black.

Or just shell out some cash for DBP instead. Works pretty good just costs a bit and is still buggy.

we are not outnumbered! we are just in a target rich enviroment!
