when i use darkedit, it says press f12 to quit, when i run a program, but f12 does nothing, i have to restart my computer.

im on xp by the way

Do you have a Microsoft keyboard? If you do, you must have the f-lock turned on. That's the only thing I can think of.

thanks, but that hasnt helped, the whole computer seems to freeze, even the windows key doesnt work

does the program freeze at a certain point, when you press f12, or does it simply not exit the program?

it doesnt matter anymore, thanks for everyones help though, ive purchased darkbasic pro, the editor works good on thaT,.
