How come when I make a model in truespace and save as .x, when I load it in DBC all colors and shaders are missing and it becomes one block of solid color?
If you don't quite understand, please post your e-mail address and I will send you some screenshots to show you.

I think its because u need to make a texture (either .bmp/.jpg). If your just painting the model in truespace it wont work(at least that is the case for ts2).

my games are only as good as the people who play them...
so if my game is crap then its your f******g fault!

How do you make a bmp from shaders?

DBC doesn't support shaders either...

To texture a model, download a program such as LithUnwrap. Then create a bmp file, or jpg, and map the model with the UV coordinates onto the picture.

If you need any help with Lith, just ask.

take the textures you used on it and put it in the same folder as your model and i would configure lights yourself in darkBasic.

My trueSpace3 objects are loading in fine when I use a regular .bmp texture, haven't tried it with the 3d paint tool or shader stuff yet, though. Just make sure that all textures (shaders, .dds files created from 3d paint tool) are in the same folder as the object.

So, if I create one big model, I can texture each face with a different picture, put all the pictures in the same folder as the model it will appear correctly in DB Classic?
