Hey! I've tested the Tank Demo v3 for DBC and after killing the 3 tanks, the ending text was something like:

THIS GAME TOOK LEE
BAMBER JUST TWO
DAYS TO WRITE

I only have one thing to say: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

¿¿is this true??

¿¿how many hours at day he spend making it??

I've been making my secret game for more than a week and isn't
nothing like that tank game, just top-down view and isn't a GTA, so how the hell he did it in 2 days?!??!??!??!?!??!??!?!??!?!?! , or it's just me?

lee wrote DB so he has intimate knowledge of how each command works as well as years of programming and development.

I wont hurt your mind and tell you about the 24 hr game build challenge a few years back then.

LOL, you can write a game in a hour, not a very good one admited, but it can be done, Lee has probably been coding as long as me (but he knows C++ where I just dabble in C++/Basic for a hobby), after a while you can think in basic, I just wrote 300 lines of program header non stop and it ran after sorting two typo`s, a filename and junking a corrupted model that was crashing the loader, if you want some idea of how long you have to spend to get solid with basic, I started when I was 14, now I am just gone 43, practice makes perfect

Mentor.

Disclaimer: I ain`t perfect yet, not by a long way

PC1: P4 hyperthreading 3ghz, 1gig mem, 2x160gig hd`s, ATI radeon 9800 pro gfx, 6 way surround sound, PC2: AMD 1.2ghz, 512mb ram, FX5200 ultra gfx, stereo 16 bit soundblaster, ups.

I didnt know that tank game was beatable! I kept shooting the tank and nothing happened so I got bored and left lol. I have a friend (hes not on the forum) who is 17 and he could make a small flight simulator pretty quickly and other small things.

Make games play games, hey its a living!

Hey Mentor, I think you've just established yourself a nickname, Dad.
I wrote a full out database with a GUI in Pascal back in highschool in about a week. I had 2 weeks to make it, but after the first week I was so screwed up, I deleted the whole project and started over. Yea, don't do that. Requirements didn't call for a gui, only text based, but I like to be fancy. Otherwise, I could've done it in a day or two.

It all comes with practice over time. It used to take me days to write a simple text pac-man. Now I could probably do it in an hour. Hmm, actually I think i'll go do that now while I'm thinking about it.
