Thank you for your comments Exeat, I'll try to implement those things into the book, but as you know its his book not really mine, so its all up to him. And you are right, we aren't done, but still those are important things for newcomers to know. Thats the kind of feedback we want before we finish.

As for progress, WMG has taken over the formatting, while I have just completed Chapters 13 and 14. My laptop was gone all weekend because my mom needed it for work, but I have it back and progress is being made. So now I am going to continue working and try to add additional chapters that need to be added.

If anyone else has any comments on the book and how it can be improved, just post here and tell us what needs to be done. After all, it is for the public, not just ourselves, so what you need needs to be put in.

Rich, no means to be offensive, but it does look a bit odd that your name is rich and you have Betty from the Flinstones as your avatar

Sorry, due to computer downtime (windows ME, you understand) and a pile of work to do at school, I have not been able to get even 10% of the work I want done. I only get to use a computer at all at school, which I can obviously not work on the book here. At home as I said, my computer is down or gone with my mom to work, so I cannot work as much as I want on the book. However, I am currently writing walkthroughs on each of the chapters as much as I can, and so far, progress seems to be going good considering the circumstances. I plan on purchasing Windows XP Professional soon, so I may finally get some serious work done.

Thank you for your patience.

Nope. Afraid not. There is no excuse for Windows ME!

OK finally after many tries to email, I found a problem with my smtp server, but its fixed now. My edited version of the book (which includes step by step walkthroughs of example code and additional chapters) is now sent to WMG for editing, reviewing, and implementation. Because of laptop failure, the full amount of work I wanted to put into it was not able to happen, so I decided to relocate the project to my other computer (which took about 3 hours to get off of the laptop ) but now work can truly begin at a much faster pace. Expect to see more progress from here on out.

Sorry I was thrown off by the "Yes, now an updated version is available?" I thought you were working on the book too. So why ask on the forum?

This is a good idea. I haven't read your book so far, as I don't have time, or particularly need to I guess, but an alternantive to the existing book is a great idea, as the existing book is more aimed at DBC users not Pro, and as we all know the 2 don't mix as well as they theoretically should.

Once its finished, I'll be interested in reading it.

If you are going to keep it online rather than try and publish it, perhaps it could be open source so others could add their own input? Just a suggestion

Nice suggestion Everywhat, and we are going to do your idea to a point. After our final copy is released, we will let other people review and add to it as see fit, and then Vash and I are contemplating publishing it.
