Hey,

Was this made with a TGC product (DBC or DBP)? If so, please let us know where we can download the freeware version. I don't want to post my email here for obvious reasons.

Thanks.

*Tip* - Most people probably quickly scan their new posts after they've been submitted

@blajack1233 - I'll repeat my first question. Is this a DBC or DBP project? There's no way I'm downloading from that link until I know.

This is quite obviously not a DBC / DBP project as it would be impossible to create an OS in either.

Its not a bug, its a feature!

Hehe, I doubt this is an OS, it's a CLI interface like DOS.

Not sure how usefull these things are nowadays, I suppose they're good if your too lazy to load up windows explorer or like to type or like to pretend your a hacker. I have a soft spot for CLI's, but not soft enough to pay $2.50!

Its not a real OS, otherwise it wouldn't need Windows.

It's just a fake CLI made in DBC, nothing too amazing but not a virus either.

It wouldn't work anyway, as anything made in DB requires DirectX which is not available for Win 3x.

So does DE.OS emulate MS-DOS? Can it play the old DOS-Games? And why are you allowed to give away 10 free copies? What does it look like? And most importantly, DBC - Dark Basic Classic or DBP - Dark Basic Profession Project? (Still not answered yet)

However, Screenshots would be nice I think, and post a little more information on your website, there is only the link to the CLI

1 PRINT "This s..t works!!!"
2 GOTO 1
RUN

No.

It will have dos style batch commands, like listing the files on screen and copying files - but that's it I reckon. I assume that you can make batch files, but I doubt you'd be able to do very much with it - certainly no way you could play old dos games on it.

I hope the feedback here isn't discouraging Blajack, he just needs to find a more useful application project before people will take it seriously.

DOS was an OS though. Maybe not if you have WinXP though.
