in the opening story scene for my game i have this bmp for the background i have this text thats really a image saved from my photoimpact program i want the text image to scroll up the screen slowly to read??

Check out the Sprite commands in the help, in particular:

SPRITE
SET SPRITE PRIORITY

Additionally, Somebody (IanM, RobK or TCA) wrote a DLL to simplify this type of function. Try a search of Program Announcements for this.
