Basically, I have created objects in 3D Canvas, with clean lines and definite 'boxey' shapes - there is not a single curve on the scene.
After exporting to *.x format, I then load it into a simple bit of code that displays the object and allows me to rotate it and zoom in, using the cursor keys.
The problem is, when it is loaded into Dark Basic Classic (I think it happened in the DBPro Demo also) all of the edges become smooth and rounded, a sort-of fluffy effect. Basically it has smoothed everything, when I do not want it to. Is this a default that DB has, is there a control to rectify it, or is it something else?

Code was based on DB tutorial sample 10, with the object replaced with mine.

Thanks for your help,

Check the help file for info on the "Set Object" command. I think it has something to do with the filter parameter.

Sorry, I didn't memorize the parameters of that command It's one of the few commands that I can't remember too well.

Thanks for your help, but I think that the filter affects textures on the model. In did try it after you mentioned it but it didn't help unfortunately . I currently have no textures on it. Think 'rounded edges' on square objects and there's my problem.

Never mind, sorted it - Woohoo! Apparently light 0 was too bright or summat so I used 'HIDE LIGHT 0' and all is well.

(Just need a more suitable light source now)

Thanks for your help,
