Could you clarify a bit more? If you are asking about something where you talk into a mic and have it appear on screen, Im not so sure its possible. Maybe with additional 3rd party commands, but they dont exist now.

DB is not the best choice for this. You have to do waveform analysis as well as some other heady stuff. It's really a bad choice for a first project unless you happen to be a sound engineer.

I suggest searching the internet and learning more about speech to text. It's actually a very complex task.
