Lo. Here's a little WIP post, about the game me and Jopie Dopie are working on, for like 3-4 hours now. It's supposed to be a little platformer, I think. The story is a quest for fun, caus we made the game whilst being bored.. Man, I'm boring you guys, aren't I XD Go make a game aswell!

I love the cartoony style, my only suggustion would be to give the hat guy a better arm.(Perhaps something as simple as a cylinder with a sphere at the end.)

For 3-4 hours, this game already has it's own atmosphere. That's something very hard to achieve in other genres such as RPG's, FPS, since they're many times so generic.

This could really develop into a great project. Keep it up!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Looks like it's getting more serious.

@ MikeS: Maybe that's a good idea. Lets wait 'n see what Jopie thinks about it. He's in charge of the object modeling.

Update: Were's working on a few things at the moment. Jopie's working out a AI system for the enemies, and I'm working on another map. Also, were trying to get the engine bug-free. We're not master-coders though XD

i've uploaded a short movie (3 sec) that shows the animation of the character, you'll need divx to play it .

Well, ok then. Especially for you Walaber:

Progressing nice, I must say.
- Collectables Placed
- HUDs made, and temp-placed
- Fixed some Platform engine Bugs
- Expended the story a bit. You now have a levelgoal XD
- Enemie bounceback effect + camera shake effect
- Cannonball shooting. (VERY ugly now, but will become eye-candied )

I hope you guys like the look of it so far..

NO little kiddies open the code snippet

Seriously though it does look really good, I like the cel-shaded feel to everything except the main character, helps him stand out in all those other bright colours. This is looking very good and I hope you keep it up. Its good to see a different style of graphics. Well Done.
