Greetings!!!

Today is a very NICE day!! because at last I've uploaded my first game made in DB TODAY!!!

Well...this is my first game so don't expect too much...some instructions are in the Readme file so BE SURE TO READ IT BEFORE CLICKING ANYTHING ELSE!! ....ok...

Download:

http://darkguy.nexuswebs.net/DarkROIDSSetup.part1.zip
http://darkguy.nexuswebs.net/DarkROIDSSetup.part2.zip
http://darkguy.nexuswebs.net/DarkROIDSSetup.part3.zip
http://darkguy.nexuswebs.net/DarkROIDSSetup.part4.zip

Now...because my webspace's provider limitations, you'll have to rename some files...the DarkROIDSSetup.part1.zip, change his extension to .EXE and the rest change them from .zip to .RAR and execute the EXE file .

Now after installing, don't run Config.exe...I know, it's SO DAMN stupid to be there...but for an unknown reason that I don't know why the config.exe file that I added some days ago to the .RAR files isn't there, just the old config, so in the CONFIG.INI there are something like this:

***START OF FILE***
800
600
24
30
***END OF FILE***

First line: screen width
Second line: screen height
Third line: display depth
Fourth line: FPS

edit them to play correctly....why I say this? read the readme file...

The screenshots (I can't put them here because of my webspace provider limitations) are here:

http://darkguy.nexuswebs.net/projects.htm

Any comments, bug reports and suggestions are always welcome

Why don't you download a program called "Setup2go", with this you can make an installer program to run and instal your game from one file. The program is free and it makes it a lot easier to get your game onto peoples computers as your only download 1 file, run it and the game is there!!

I'd say that his host has a limit on the maximum file size that can be uploaded at a time, thus he had to split it to volumes, upload them seperately ( and obiously they don't allow anything but .zip ) then give us all instructions to make it all work nice and proper

Jess.

PS I can host it for you if you like?
I've sent you an email

What is the game??? Before I download lots of files, and then edit them all to make them work, I'd like to know what I am downloading. Oh there are screenshots at the bottom, I didn't see them..

The screenshots look great!

Edit: Oops some href's errors...
Edit 2: nah didn't worked. Copy & paste then...why didn't worked, I don't know...

@CattleRuster and Spectre: Yeah, I could have used a setup program, but the problem is that in the PC where I program there's no internet, so I have to copy the files in floppy disks and transport them to the PC where the internet is to upload it...that's why the parts are of 1.440.900 Bytes... . Also, Jess is right, it has a limited size for each file to upload and it only accepted ZIP's, but now, thanks to the kindness of Jess, it's in his webspace and you can download it from here :

Part 1:
http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~jessticular/sub/darkguy/DarkROIDS%20Setup.part1.exe
Part 2:
http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~jessticular/sub/darkguy/DarkROIDS%20Setup.part2.rar
Part 3:
http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~jessticular/sub/darkguy/DarkROIDS%20Setup.part3.rar
Part 4:
http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~jessticular/sub/darkguy/DarkROIDS%20Setup.part4.rar

Well...it's split up again but you don't have to rename files at last...

@Jess: THANKS

Also, my website is somewhat up, i'm uploading the files now . Webhosting thanks to the kind webmaster of RedGaming .

You could install an installer maker on the PC with internet, then, when you transfer the files onto that PC, de-archive them, whip up an installer and upload it again

Or, alternatively, you could just put WinRAR ( or Power Archiver etc ) onto the PC with Internet, and use that to de-compress, then recompress it all as one file

It just makes it less of a hasle for users to download, thus getting more downloads

Jess.

PS Glad to help, any time

The finished file is of 5.04 mb and when I upload the file, the manager doesn't show anything and I can't get the link...like if I didn't uploaded it, so I uploaded the splitted version

Edit: I have WinRAR in the PC with internet

DarkRoids... sounds like something you need a cream for. Jeez, my DarkRoids are flaring up again. Burns like the dickens. Speaking of Dickens... I hear they make some good cider. My girl loves some Dicken's Cider.
