The match was devastating, being that we were winning until the last two minutes...

Oh well, good luck to England in this new match, and just for good measure:

english mum french dad, this time i went for french. i predicted it'd be a good match, 2-1 either way, and was right.

with 20 mins to go b4 kick-off, i predict:
england 1 - 0 switz.

and later on:
France 2 - 0 Croatia

Hier, j'ai fait mon essai français de grammaire et mon prof m'a donné vingt sur vingt! J'ai célébré en mangeant quelques grenouilles, mais puis j'ai découvert qu'elles étaient des chats. EEEEUUW!

You may have a slightly better football team then us, but we'll bore you to death any day of the week with utter French drivel.

NB. Preferably not on "mardi grand"; I have plans (packs suitcase with condoms)

Errr - who would the 12th be then. The ref was definately harsh to both sides; both teams had players needlessly booked.[/quote]

France rox, Zidane rox, Barthez rox

Anyway, Haas was pretty supid to make such a foul when he already has da yellow card...
But may i ask you Englishs where the GREAT OFFENCE football was that was promised by the trainer???
The first half you had only 1 chance tho 1 goal

France 2:Croata 2!!!

We only need to draw to get through!

If France loose to Switzerland, they'll be out (regardless of the inprobability). Come on Switzerland!

France : 4pts
England : 3pts
Croatia : 2pts
Switzerland : 1pt
(goal average 1pt for France and -3 for Switzerland..)

Tie breakers
If teams finish level on points, then the winner of the match between the sides in question will finish highest, or should they have drawn, goal difference, followed by goals scored, qualifying record for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2004â„¢, a fair play ranking and finally either a penalty shoot-out or drawing of lots.

So, please France, it's about my money!

Here's a little quote from a German sports show at half-time:

Quote: "Quite embarrasing how bad England plays... If they keep playing that bad they run the risk of disaster.
Switzerland set them under pressure like if they were the favourites."

or

Quote: "The English actually tried to play offencive in the first few minutes, but they were incapable of holding the ball in their team..."

Of course they didn't just say negative things about you
They said for example too that only a great team can make a goal of one chance...
and Switzerland played much worse in the second half....

But my point is: it's not like we just found you played bad, it's also Germany who thinks you played bad. And i assume (from the point that Germans and Swiss don't like each other) there are many others who think the English played a BORING game...

Anyway i don't want to argue... Switzerland isn't that good
BUT the way YOU English played was pretty bad, and no way are you going to win the Euro like that

so much for my predictions... tho i blame it on flooky goals. predictions:

fra v swi : 4-1 (well croatia managed to score past france)

eng v cro : 2-0 (same as france but without the flookyness and letting them score.

Sorry boys and girls.

Of course Sweden will be the next champs.

Well, at least if there's any fairness in the world. That kick that Zlatan Ibrahimovic did in the last match against Italy was just pure gold.

Italy is basically out, even though they want to think that they're out because of a huge nordic conspiracy rather than poor sportsmanship from their players and because of poor play. Italy is out because the team is having a nuclear meltdown.

In the quarter finals we'll (of course) beat the Czech republic.

They SAID that given enough time a million monkeys with typewriters could recreate the collected works of William Shakespeare... Internet sure proved them wrong.

Yah it WOULD... or better it WOULD have been funny...
But tho France and England are individually too strong...

BTW in Czech v. Netherland, did anyone else find the Spanish referee a bit pro Czech or was i the only one?

What a brilliant performance from Rooney. He is pure class lets and he didnt get yellow carded. We made Croatia look ordinary and Scholsy deserved a goal. Was Beckham playing cause i didnt hear him?

Yeah, Rooney is a major talent, especially compared to the vastly overated Beckham who just seems to be getting in the way.

That's what puts me off as well Pinch - the idiots you get who think that they can judge the kind of bloke you are just by hearing which team you support. I remember standing in a que to a nightclub behind a Dunfermline (lowly first division team) player, he was talking about football with this guy, who promptly smacked him in the teeth because of the team he played for. I can't stand people like that.

England will win. England usually only have problems with teams that have a reputation for great players...Like France. England loose because of their own regards for teams.

*Cough* Figo. Ronaldo. Deco. Rui Costa. *Cough*

I think Portugal or France will win the tournament. One thing which really gets to me is when all the commentators etc on tv all talk about england as if they're already in the final. One guy was saying that it's a good thing england came second in the group becuase then when they get to the final they'll have an extra day or two's rest than their opponent.
