Hi

In my game I want to make a bobwire fence, now its a 3D game so modelling each wire in 3D would be unpractical. I decided the best way would be to create a cylinder, and use a alpha map of a bobwire fence to texture that cylinder, that way you would see the wire but everything els would be transparent. I dont have photoshop or any of those fancy paint programs, but I do have the GIMP, the problem is that I have no idea how to create alpha maps using the GIMP. Can anyone with experience with this software fill me in on how to do this?

Thanks

Anything you dont want to be seen in your texture should be coloured black, then use SET OBJECT objnum,1,1,0 in your code
