Ooooh yeah... I remember that, I can't even remember if I ended up signing it or not though. I probably did, just to look cool.

Sorry to say, I don't live in New York.

Drums are a great responsibility... They aren't just for playing around with.

Go to Peter Criss's Official Site!

I hope you're not talking about me (me being one of the primary anti-Ravens), because by the time I was told about the whole thing it already had ~10 votes

The new developer network updates and beta downloads kick ass.

Rich, i know you know about this thread. You get emailed when a new thread is started. For the love of god (or Poobah, or John Carmack or whatever) please ban him. Ban him good.

EDIT: Just looking at the darkbasic forum archive that Exeat is hosting. I congradulate Solid Snake for this wonderful comment:
Quote: "This is Snake, whether or not you still look at this post I know not, but I do know one thing. You are underage, and too stupid to know anything. You see I was in the Army. I went to Bosnia, the people there don't care about programming games, they don't care about posts on a forum they are more concerned about simpler things, like: Not stepping on a landmine or walking into crossfire. You. You are the most innane people to grace this web site. What do I do? I succumb to your goddamn post by replying. A mistake on my part because you are to ignorant to recognize when someone wants to help. How did I learn to 3d Studio Max 4, Maya, Bryce, DarkBasic, Visual C++, Dreamweaver, Flash, QB, VB, Poser, Lightwave, Vue E'spirit, world builder, renderman? I read books on them. If you could read then you probably wouldn't mind, but since books are so stupid you decide it would be better to have someone hold your hand and type code for you, that's a job title you know, it's called producer. He's the guy that sits around and demands performance, but you are not a producer. You are small little child who hasn't an inkling about this field. Game development isn't a hobby for me, it's my way of life. I live this s h i t. I will not tolerate a soul on this forum bashing others because they wouldn't hold your dick while you took a piss. Wipe your own goddamn ass and learn your own goddamn skills. Hard work is what gets you to success. Life's not a handout. When you mature and grow up you will understand but for now be content to play with yourself at night, and wonder what a girl's breast feels like. Now go ahead and reply with all of your witty comebacks, wait I'll do it."

Lol, the image was always 5k, you shrunk it and resaved it as a bmp, which just happened to make it the same size as my enlarged gif version!

The 'zenicanin14' in that thread isn't the same as Drumnology/Z-Interactive/Peter Criss. Z-Interactive saw that page and changed his name to 'zenicanin14' because he's an idiot. I do agree he should be banned but not because of that page, that's a completely different person altogether and the original 'Gimme Da Codez' guy. Heh, I wonder who found that page in the first place, obviously someone that's been wandering the subdirectories on my server because I haven't posted the link on here in a long time.

Freewebs doesn't allow 'hotlinking', which is when you upload an image to their server and then display it on a different site, like you're doing with that smilie.

I bet Rich is gonna be pissed in the morning for bringing up all these damn topics from the grave and the overuse of that annoying colored picture.

I mean i want Z banned, but not in a way that i'll do what he does to get someone to notice.

Yeah, I think Rich is going to be mighty-angry in the morning as well. We have abused the forum ourselves.

*Hangs head in shame*

It's time to do something I should've done a long time ago... Remove that darn picture!!

Edit: It has now been changed to a transparent 1x1 pixel gif, err, this kind of removes the effect of a lot of people's posts - Sorry for that, but it was kinda overused.

I got a new petition idea...give mods some power to put people on temporary ban, would give me something to take my anger out on I just would love to be able to say

"Nice Spam! Enjoy your 24 Hour Ban!"

Your crazy RPG, just crazy man.

Speaking seriouslly now, temp bans would be a good option.. then we would only have to put up with these idiots every other day instead of every damn day.

...Give it to the mods that aren't plotting world domination in a secret volcano in an uncharted island in the middle of the pacific. TCA would probably find a way to control the world with that power

Exactly my point Something like this would work.

Warning System
---------------
3 Warnings = Temp Ban, 24 Hours (Rank now "Abuser")
Next 3 = Temp Ban, 7 Days (Rank now "Multiple Abuser"
Next 3 = Temp Ban, 1 Month (Rank now "Heavy Abuser")
Next 3 = Full Ban, Forever (Rank now "Banned")

And of course, mods could hand out small bans, like 1 hour bans for something quick. Maybe only Rich could give them the big whammy (full ban)

I think something should be done to prevent something like this again...

I sure would have fun with that ban button

I'd like to find out his email. Too lazy to look for it elsewhere.

*Still has a few tricks up his sleeves*

Would you all like to hear something interesting?

Sent to me by a friend in msn-
' "The UK, US and Australia are combining forces to combat spam. They have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote joint enforcement and investigation of spammers across the three countries." '

Maybe we could report his IP to the FBI, with a message entitled "Publicly known spammer offender, also an idiot".

Oh no! Chrissy had used her powers to turn herself into a hideous man-eating giant!

Which is not referring to you.

I think we should have an automated system where, by some means, if you don't post in an on-topic board for a month or two you're banned.

You'd just have to make sure it doesn't ban people who go on holiday. Maybe there'd be a "holiday mode" option where you can't post.

exeat,

I did think twice about saving it as a .bmp, but when i opened the image in PSP it said the image was 71k. So when my default save, saved it as a .bmp and I saw that it was 5k i thought that it was good. Which also made sense since I reduced it's size by 75%.

Yeah, I guess it doesn't really matter that much.

Oh well, I'm off to bed now, I'm praying that when I wake up Rich hasn't gone on a rampage and banned us all for spamming that we want the spammer banned. Ironic, eh?

I do - but I'm not always here all weekends, this weekend being a case in point.

So I've just given ALL MODs the ability to ban users themselves. They can specify a time limit (10 minutes, 1 hour, 1 year, etc) or just "for ever".

This should help them out a bit and nip problems like this in the bud without the need for a petition.

Cheers,

Rich

Am I the only one that thinks this is a bad idea? I think Rich should have given just 1 or 2 mods that right, *especially* the forever ban.

The forever ban should be based on a voting system by the other mods. If, say, at least three mods agree for the forever ban, it will be done. If a mod gets upset over a personal issue, say one of his threads gets hijacked by an annoying person, he shouldn't be able to just ban the poster forever.

Oi vay :p
