Why is it when i create a model in 3DS Max (this instance walls) i can walkthrough 2 sides of the model while the other sides stay colideable ? I can walk through them but cant get back its as if collision only works on 2 sides of the walls (or model) anyone else experienced anything like this? know of any solutions???

cheers

When u say it's a wall, do you mean that it's a plain, or a box?

What kind of collision are you using?

If it is a box, then are the polygons double sided?

YOu need to provide more info with your post, and possible the code and model so we can see the problem for ourselves.

ive made the walls using streched boxes in 3ds Max the charicter model is object 10 which i have set object collision to polygons i have no idea if the polygons are double sided

heres an example of what happens

xxxxxxx The arrows represent the directions the charicter
------- can walk through the wals, the x's represent the
^^^^^^^ collidable sides of the walls.

Thats as graphical as i can put it any ideas ?

You have to set object collision on on the walls too.

Put in
Set Object Collision On wallnum
Set Object Collision To Boxes wallnum

Should fix up what's wrong.

None that I know of.

Your problem seems to be with your model, and DB not putting object collision onto it.

Try posting in the 3D section, maybe someone over there can help with Export settings etc from Max.
