Hi,

I am making a resource site dedicated to DarkBASIC. Any suggestions for the site would be greatly appreciated. I am making the site built around the forums. It gets tiring searching the forum for one thing you need but there are 20 pages to search, so I am using the information from the forums (giving full credit to the writers obviously ).

If you would like to view the start of the site it is:
[href]www.freewebs.com/revenger89[/href]
(If you go don't bother with the chat room, I'm still tryin to figure out how to work it)

Please, give me feed back by E-Mail , MSN Messenger , or on the guest book for ideas for the site.

Thanks,
Ragnarok

Nice site. It has a good list of resorces. I like the flowing stars background. Perhaps you could add a list of informative articles such as Game Design, A*, Pathfinding, and Tutorials.

The computer isn't an addiction, its more of a mental and social dependancy.

I will get to work on that. Although I have Limited Space (40 Megs, 7 Pages, 7 Paragraphs a page) I will try and go to premium and have more on what you listed. Thanks for the suggestions.

Nice idea, and an ok site there

Good work.

But, where did you get all those resources? I don't see references to the creators etc.

I mean, I'm pretty sure that list is just a copy of the one DarkGUY posted in his "Game Creators Kit For Beginners" thread that's sticky'd at the top of this board.

I may be mistaken though.

If you fill it out with alot of the useful tid-bits from the forums, and the codebase, then it should become quite a nice little place to search for snippets.

Jess.

Found a way past the page limitation so I am staying here for a while, also the main reason for this post.

1) Any Specific posts in the forum that you all want to be on the site. Just set a link to the page and I will copy it to the site.
2) Any thing that you make that you would like others to have (but dont feel like making your own site I will be glad to put it on there also. Just email me the the tutorial, code, game desinging, etc.
3) Also, anyone thats would like to help me work with the site, keeping it updated and things like that, would be very helpful. Lol.

Thanks,
Ragnarok

Try to upload snippets for things like;
Multi-fire Bullet code,
Path-finding ( A* or otherwise ),
Way-points,
Matrix Tilting,
Matrix Manipulation,
SIMPLE in-built collision,
Wrong-way indicator ( for racing games etc ),
Simple Enemy AI,
Advanced Enemy AI ( but I don't think you'll find it here ),

And that's enough to get you started.

Just search the boards for those things, or variations of those.

Jess.
