Hi,I was wondering what is the best way to code a aknoid breakout game,I mean the ball movement and collision with ball and brick/bat.. I have tried this before and soon realised its more involved than I had 1st thought, mainly because the ball has different angles depending on which part of the brick is hit..like so..

The only problem I ever had with the breakout style of game is calculating collisions when the ball is moving fast. But that was like 15 years ago, and I know what I was doing wrong.

Hands down the funniest synopsis for a game ever. All your base are belong to us!

Use a sweep method.

For ball movement, use vectors. It'll make the reflection angles easier to use.
