Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Paint

Have fun!

I'm not sure why everyone avoids MSPaint, if you take your time, and put some work into your sprites (adding shading, good coloring, etc.) your sprites will come out good.

I find photoshop more useful

It's a shame I dont own photoshop like you. I would probobly use it. But for now...

You could get a copy of PhotoShop Elemets 2.0 (the one i use) for around 100 bucks.
