hey guys,
a while ago i was refered to this pixel art package. It is one of the most amazing tools ive seen. it is free, but if you register it u get to use a bunch more file formats. i think it would be worth your time to check it out.

I still use and prefer MSPaint for sprites and tiles. I mean, I only need 4 shades for tiles and 16 shades for sprites. Programms like photoshop and gale dont offer the friendly (n00b) gui mspaint does.

And I've read tsugumo's tutorials, they are very good. Just remove default.htm for the menu:

I have a few Pixel art links including the ones you already listed:
(The list below is about a few hours worth of digging around the web over the course of a few days.)

http://www.pixelmuseum.com/

http://www.lolaart.net/~pixel/#

http://www.designegg.com/unicyclemistress/pixel.html

http://members.lycos.co.uk/oix/basic/basic.html

http://pixeltutorial.cjb.net/

http://www.natomic.com/hosted/marks/mpat/

http://www.mesedilla.com/index.php?id=5

http://pixel.nascimpact.com/tutoriaux.php

http://www.pixelfreak.com/

http://www.panelmonkey.org/

http://www.zoggles.co.uk/asp/news.asp

Some are inspirational showing off art, and actually most have some type of tips, tutorial, examples, or instruction.

Thanks for the software link. It's now in my softawer link section for pixel art!

G'day
