Yes, I think this is covered a few times on the JTEdit site. I also think its an issue with its compatibility with the latest version of DirectX, as it was apparently Okay with DirectX 8. Try loading a 3DS model for equally humerous results.

New bugs aside, lovely peice of software Mr J.T has made there, though I havent actually used it yet...

When you go to save the model, make sure that in the "Options" area, the "binary" form is checked, and the "compres" is NOT checked.

Other than that, all I can suggest is trying a 3DS with the same paramaters

I use JTEdit for all my Modeling, and I haven't had any trouble before using those settings, so give it a whirl.

Also, if that fails to work, try merging all your mesh's together in the modeler, and then seeing if you can save it out into a format that DB can read.

Failing ALL of that, find the free version of LithUnWrap, and try opening the models in there ( I have found that this is a very, very good guage of if the model is being saved out properly by JTEdit or not, and also as a nifty converter between 3ds and x ).

Steve, you're right!

Try a reinstall.

Also, JTEdit chews up your system resources ( On my Dev PC it does anyway ).

Before I can even get it to run, I have to close ALL apps and windows, and sometimes even Explorer.exe ( if I have all the options in JTE on-screen at once ). So give that a whirl if it crash's out on you

To get to the Binary option, when you go Save As, put the file type as ".x" then the "Options" button should un-grey. Click it, select "Binary" then hit OK, then save it out

Jess.

I messed around with the said editor for a while, and found that models that I had made in it were working fine when exported to .X or .3DS format.

Now, when I tried to load a .X model into the editor, it came in fine. But, on export(With what JessTicular has said in mind.), the error occured again. Cue the confusion...
