In that case, I cant help. What I would suggest is that you put in trace statements between each command, so you can then find out which command is causing the problem.

Or the step through mode with the default editor sometimes works if the project compiles but shuts down when it tries to run. The only downside to this I know of is buttons don't work as input for your program though mouseclick does.

That doesn't really make sense - running from a CD is fine, but not from the hard drive...

Your not using absolute pathing are you ?
Is the hard drive okay (no dodgy sectors etc etc) ?

There's an error on line 1034.

Get 15 new commands, all the date / time commands left out of DBPro for free!
DOWNLOAD PLUGINS HERE: http://www.davidtattersall.me.uk/ and select "DarkBasic"

TCA, no all media is loaded load object (object name),

line 1034 is
next x

which is the end of
for x = 100100 to 100105
make object cube x,5
hide object x
next x

its really strange how it stops loading when the exe is on the hard drive, but loads fine when loading the exe from the cd,

Your best bet will be trace statements...

the crash seems to have started when i increase the for loop from 100104 to 100105, so i can't think of why it won't work, i've changed it back to 100104 and it loads again from hard drive, increasing some of my other for next loops also stops it loading, has this ever been reported before?

Not that I know of - can you make the complete executable availiable (and source code too) ?

I presume your not overwriting memory with the increase ?
