hey

heres a question that many could find useful ( oh well i will)
if i make objects smaller, that will increase speed and make my games faster, right? thats simple but if i zoomed in the camera or modified it the objects would appear the same size? would this work? and if so what camera settings should you use?

no! the number of objects and the number of polygons/textures dictates the speed more than anything, mipmapping makes the textures simpler at a distance, so you get a little speed gain there, but as soon as you zoom in you get the detailed texture instead, so you lose the speed gain.

no..see above, if you could gain speed that easily then DB would rescale everything to realy small automaticaly just to give everyone a serious speed boost for no extra work.

Mentor.

Yes, Increase the speed of your object
Making the object smaller won't make it faster

Dark Basic does what you tell it to, you have to put speed
on objects so that it can go faster, NOT the game!
