The first one had Online gameplay, i ruled the drag racing! heh
It's nice being an LPB and being able to outshift other ppl with ease heh
The graphics are updated, you don't realise how much until your playing it with full graphcis, and they optimised it to be faster.
There's more to tweak now too.
Underneath it is the same game, but it has little tweaks.
New Racing Modes, some new abilities.
I think the excess car personalisation really is the main upgrade... but it also has some new locations and such.
And ya the free roam mode with, 'instant challenge' is pretty cool. You never quite know how those races will end up because it's a case of skidding around the city trying to get 500meters ahead.
(harder than it sounds depending on what gameplay level you set it to)
It is alot of fun, taping the breaks, turning, then turboing out of the apex of a corner.. nothing sweeter than a 160MPH powerslide around a tight corner. Especially if the other racers aren't good enough to position themselves in a way that they don't have to use thier breaks.
I like the slippy-slide courses, they're cool. It's weird how to do them, but there's a technique to powersliding around as many corners as possible. The demo course I got like 240,000 as my max score; the trick on that one is to just burn it and avoid the traffic, right before a bend if you are going straight, take you foot of the accelerator, mildly turn in the wrong direction then hard turn into the corner as you accelerate. You really get some decent momentum and a good slide going.. keeping the slide going without accidentially balancing isn't so easy on the keyboard heh
