Hi, anyone know what Windows DLL(s) I can load and call to get more detailed information about someone's installed hardware than the commands supplied by DBPro?

Maybe someone has written a DBPro DLL to do this?
Real programmers don't document. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

Woo, that could be a big job. What sort of information are you thinking of?

Things like CPU speed, hard drive speed, some of the data that gets shown in the Windows System Information tool such as Components...

I would have thought callable DLL functions would already exist to get that sort of info? I guess you just need to know the structs to use when calling them...

CPU speed is available, just needs a bit of work to find out where the infomation is located in the structure. I might have a look at this tomorrow for you - its getting late here.

Hard-drive/CDROM speed. I don't know where you would get these from, but you could benchmark this yourself easily enough.
